Join us for a hands-on Apple Tree Pruning Training at the apple orchard at Vermont State University - Randolph Campus on April 11th from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM. Participants will learn: How to safely and effectively use pruning tools, including pneumatic pruners, Sawzalls, and loppers How to prune for ideal tree height, better airflow, and reduced disease risk When and where to prune to support healthy growth and strong fruit production Strategies for managing older or neglected trees How to identify and remove dead, damaged, or diseased wood to improve overall tree health Cost: $115 Financial assistance: VSAC/AmeriCorps grants are available.
