2026 Locally Led Conservation Process

The 2026 Locally Led Conservation survey is now live!

We are seeking input from our community, agricultural producers, conservation partners, residents, and working professionals to develop priorities for future program direction and funding. What programs, activities, and funding support do you want to see from us at the Poultney Mettowee and Rutland Natural Resource Conservation Districts (PMNRCD and RNRCD) and the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) in the next year? Help us decide which land areas and resource concerns are most important to you and your community.

The first step is a quick survey! Please take a couple of minutes to fill out this year’s survey.

The 2026 Locally Led Conservation Work Group Meeting

January 30, 2026, 2pm, Poultney Mettowee NRCD office

We will discuss the results of the survey and make recommendations based on the available NRCS practices to the NRCS State Technical Committee. Please join January 30, 2026 at 2pm at the Poultney Mettowee NRCD office at 212 Main St in Poultney, VT to provide your perspective and suggestions. There will be snacks!
